3rd January: weather disruption for Argyll ferry services

After the advance warnings of severe weather, it is no surprise that ferry services are disrupted this morning. 

Argyll Ferries’ passenger service between Gourock and Dunoon is SUSPENDED, with a situation review at 14.00.

Western Ferries‘ vehicle and passenger service between Gourock and Dunoon is SUSPENDED, with a review at 12.00.

Clydelink‘s passenger service between Gourock and Kilcreggan is SUSPENDED, with  review at 12.00.

CalMac‘s vehicle and passenger services:

  • Wemyss Bay – Rothesay SUSPENDED.  Review at 12.00.
  • Colintraive-Rhubodach SUSPENDED. Review at 10.00.
  • Tarbert-Lochranza CANCELLED for today.
  • Tarbert-POrtavadie SUSPENDED. Review at 15.00.
  • Tayinloan-Gigha SISPENDED.Review later.
  • Kennacraig0Islay: CANCELLED. Review later.
  • Oban-Lismore: CANCELLED. Review at 13.00.
  • Oban-Craignure: DISRUPTED 08.00 service sailed at 09.30.
  • LOchaline-Fishnish SUSPENDED. Review at 10.00.
  • Tobermory- Kilchoan CANCELLED. Review at 10.00.
  • Fionnphort-Iona SUSPENDED. Review at 12.00
  • Oban-Colonsay CANCELLED.
  • Oban-Castlebay-Lochboisdale CANCELLED.

The worst should be over by around lunchtime today, with tomorrow, Saturday 4th January, calmer but with the winds picking up again on Sunday and notified as being trouble on Monday 6th January.
